We have two more verses in the book of James. They go together, so I will reserve most of my commentary for the finale tomorrow. In the meantime, let’s look at the second-last verse of James…
My brothers, if anyone among you wanders from the truth and someone brings him back, (James 5:19)
This is a good reminder for all of us. There are two things I’d like us all to take from today’s verse:
(1) Let’s remember the line, “There, but for the grace of God, go I.” We all have the potential to get off track in our Christian walk, and wander away from the Lord.
(2) As we are seeking the lost, and sharing with them the Good News about Jesus, we should also keep our eyes open for the wayward found, and bring them back for Jesus.
Today’s Good News is that when we have wandered away from Jesus, He loves to welcome us back!
Now, go share the Good News…
FAITH in ACTION!
